We will be using blogs as a way to engage in reflective practice about issues in teaching and learning. For most weeks, you will be expected to make at least one blog post. Sometimes you will be given prompts or questions to address in your post. Other times your post will be more open-ended.
The blogs are meant to augment and expand our classroom discussions. We will be using a news aggregate, Google Reader, to read and comment on one another's posts. You have the option of having a public blog (viewable by everyone) or a private blog (viewable only by members of the class), but you are expected to read and reflect on one another's work.
For January 12th, I would like you to just get your blog set up and make a "practice" post. In your post, please just make a brief comment on one thing you found interesting. Be sure to email me your blog address, which is usually http://username.blogspot.com. For example, the blog address for our class is http://collegescienceteaching.blogspot.com. Or, "follow" this blog and I can get that information that way.
